So, what is a cult band? Any idea? Well, that question can be answered with this band. They're classic cult. Not necessarily their best album, but which one would it be? Output is extensive so you may as well listen to the one that I have heard more than any other. Electric guitars all round (none of that acoustic crap here), big bass and thumping drums. Don't expect vocals!

Ooooh! Me likeee.... Do not reprogram me, happy in this cult.
ReplyDeleteHa ha - they really are sooo good. Glad you like it. All their other albums are well worth chasing down.
ReplyDeleteAlready ordered a copy off Amazon -- but seems some of their albums are out of print. Bummer.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if it is bad form to ask about creating CDs based on the MP3's from the website. If it is just delete this comment.
Are there tricks to it? I tried it on this album and my results were spotty. Using my Nero burning software, the first attempt had two minute silences between every cut, the second 'skipped' like a badly scratched record (which was actually kind of momentarily fascinating), and the third was great except a long silence between a couple of cuts. Is there some kind of anti-piracy coding being used and I shouldn't be attempting this? Or is my burner just a piece of crap?
The short answer is - there are tricks to it. Main one being 'Time' and the second is 'patience'. After all is said and done, Soulseek is my package of choice. Simply download the software from the internet, install and download what you want from other participants around the globe. It's peer to peer. In other words, they download files from a folder (that you nominate - usually called 'Soulseek') on your drive and you do likewise from theirs. It really is very easy.
ReplyDeleteIf you have any requests, I'm happy to upload. Many do on my Mr Weird and Wacky blog.
