Toy Watches - Too Long 7''

This band hails from Ipswich (next to Brisbane). Very hard to ever find a copy of this single but historically speaking, it is important. I'd imagine that you have never heard anything by this shortlived band - and it would probably remain that way. This blogsite aims to rectify that. Something lost in time may have a chance to live on.

As you may see from the cover, it features Joh Bjelke-Peterson. A very controversial politician, premier of Queensland. The band would have been taking the piss and probably agreed with his nickname ('Hillbilly Politician'). Ah, those were the days. Punk rock in this state was very anti-Joh as the state was akin to being a police state. Corruption ruled.

Rattlesnake Shake - Beyond Belief 7''

Members from the Melting Skyscrapers finished up then formed this Aussie band (Pete Patterson & Steve Beves). Released on Waterfront Records in 1988.

Rattlesnake Shake - Self Titled EP

Last release (1990). This time on their own label (Rattlesnake Records). Sorry, no download as I do not have this. If you can help out with the files, please make contact - I have reserved this blog entry in anticipation.

Melting Skyscrapers - Strange Device 7''

Super great. Another lost band. One and only single, produced by Rob Younger (Radio Birdman) and on the Waterfront Records label. Members later went on to Asteroid B612, Rattlesnake Shake and The Naked Lunch. I will get around to posting some of these other bands in the near future.

Pupils of Love - Move It 7''

1987 - I was quite and surprised and happy when this came out. Rawk 'n Roll - Aussie style. Bring it on, back to '77. Thoroughly good. They had two more singles: 'Rock 'n Roll' 1985 and 'Walk On The Wild Side' 1991 but I do not have the latter - if you can out - mucho appreciated.

Corpse Grinders - Kustom Grinds of the 80's

This is a double CD compilation of their entire output. Tracks 8-18 are Live at 3RRR, Tracks 19-34 are Live at the TOTE (1990). The first seven tracks come from singles and EP's. There's not much else left - I'd say that's it.  All the best if you can track down this CD proper. Rare as hen's teeth.

This blogsite also has their Self Titled Mini-LP plus I Eat Babies & I'm Goin' Crazy 7'' Singles. However, these are all on this CD comp.
